www.weavolution.com - brand spanking new online networking site for weavers.
www.knittingdaily.com - hosted by Interweave Press, they have a daily newsletter awwnd patterns
www.knittinghelp.com - lots of videos demonstrating basic and more advanced knitting techniques
www.youtube.com - find good (and not so good) how to videos on nearly every possible knitting, spinning, weaving technique.

Guilds and Meetup Groups:

http://www.wssaustin.org - the Weaving and Spinning Society of Austin. This is a guild that fosters spinning and weaving. They have monthly programs, an extensive lending library and equipment availble for members.

Blue Earth Guild - this is an informal group that meets the 3rd Thursday of each month. They are a yahoo group... search blueearthguild and request membership.

Local shops and businesses:

www.gerlinesquiltshoppe.com - if you like anything at all about quilts, you need to visit Gerline's shop in Giddings, TX. Apart from having beautiful quilts, she has floor to ceiling fabrics, patterns and notions for quilters.
www.kaimohair.com - local producers of fine mohair fleece, processed roving, handspun yarns, and handdyed fibers and yarns
www.texasfibermill.com - a new local cottage fiber mill that processes fleece into roving and yarns. They specialize processing for local producers of mohair, alpaca, llama and cashmere, but process all wool fibers sent to them.
